In early 2005 we were asked to be part of a team with Core Audio Visual who produced a series of revolutionary television commercials for Pontiac. Our contributions included extensive particle effects, cloud and fog effects, modeling, shading, lighting, animation and tracking.

Mesmerize
Our work is predominately seen in the opening seconds of this one-minute commercial with the 'creative-spark' treatment. Custom particle work was used to make the burst of light and the whole simulation was keyframed to respond to the soundtrack. Later in the piece more custom particle work was used to tie together two sequences with the burst of light/dust that flies off of the Pontiac Solstice.

The opening slit-scan treatment is something we created for our client to then incorporate into the finished 30-second commercial.
