Tutorials at Lizard Lounge Graphics Lounge : NICKL- Period Noise : Temporal and Spatial Looping

Temporal and Spatial looping make for some very interesting effects. Used together and combination with other NICKL regions you can make very fluid looking things happen. In the example below three separate NICKL deformers are layered together to create a more complex and dynamic effect. The left rear plane uses Period Noise as an spatial function limited to the X axis only with an X transformation. The middle rear plane uses Period Noise as an XYZ spatial function with an X transformation and the right rear plane uses Period Noise as temporal function only. In each case Period Noise has been configured to loop seamlessly every 4 seconds. When the three NICKL regions are applied together you get the result displayed in the foreground. I've adjusted the strengths of each region to give a nice balanced result.
