I have posted the on-line version of the Caustics and NICKL article for you to read plus links for where to get NICKL at MAXONCOMPUTER's web site and some sample project files for you to use as well.

I am pretty certain that you will find NICKL a very handy and useful tool to work with. It really saved me a few times (that's why it exists at all, it started as a custom tool for an animation job I was working on), and the more I use it, the more places I find that it can be applied to add that little something that can make a scene come to life.
